Your Profile

Your profile is how other members get to know you. Set up your photo, bio, and links so people can learn about your background and connect with you.

Editing Your Profile

  1. Sign in and go to Dashboard > Profile, or navigate directly to /dashboard/profile.
  2. Fill in your details (see fields below).
  3. Changes are auto-saved — you'll see a "Saving..." indicator followed by "Auto-saved" with a timestamp.

TIP

Auto-save triggers 1.5 seconds after you stop typing, so you never need to click a save button.

Profile Fields

Photo

Upload a profile photo by clicking the photo area. Accepted formats: JPEG, PNG, or WebP, up to 5 MB. Photos are automatically resized and converted to JPEG for consistency.

Name

Your first name and last name. These appear on your profile card, in session rosters, and in the directory.

Bio

A free-form text field where you can share your background, interests, and expertise. The first 200 characters appear on your directory card; the full bio shows on your profile page.

How to Connect

Describe your preferred way for others to reach out — whether that's email, a specific platform, or scheduling a call.

Add links to your website, social profiles, and other platforms. Each link has:

  • Type — e.g., website, Twitter, LinkedIn, GitHub, email
  • URL — the full link
  • Label — display text (optional)

You can add multiple links and reorder them as needed.

Publishing Your Profile

Two toggles control your profile's visibility:

ToggleWhat It Does
Publish ProfileMakes your profile visible in the member directory. When off, your profile is private.
Show ActivityDisplays your past MicroTalk sessions on your profile page. When off, only your bio and links are shown.

Your Profile URL

Once published, your profile has a permanent URL based on your name (e.g., /directory/jane-doe). This slug is auto-generated when you first set your name.
